William Gaetz PhD. uses Magnetoencephalography (MEG) to study the various ways that brain signals change across the lifespan. Dr. Gaetz has also paired MEG measures with Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) to assess the degree to which neurotransmitter concentrations predict MEG responses in healthy children and adults. Recently, Dr. Gaetz has also reported that there are regional differences in GABA concentration (compared to TD) in the brains of children with ASD. Present work is now underway exploring how GABA levels correlate with MEG responses measured in children with ASD.
