Samantha Plate is a Clinical Research Assistant at CAR. She started at CAR as a student intern working with Dr. Parish-Morris and after graduating from Bryn Mawr College with her bachelor’s in psychology, she joined the team as an RA in June of 2017. She works on Dr. Parish-Morris’s language research projects, is part of the Social-Motor Functioning study team, and also assists with the SPARK genetic study at CAR. Ms. Plate’s job is to assist families through the research process- from explaining the study and consent forms to collecting study data. She is passionate about research that works to improve early diagnosis and treatment of autism, and plans to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology.
